Perfect placement but room standard a minus..
The placement is great, breakfast is good, service on the good side as well. Room was a disappointment, close crammy and terrible AC solution.

Not too bad!!!
The biggest problem I had was checking in. The staff did not recognized the expedia reservation so I had to wait almost 45 minutes until I receive my room. The room was ok if you are not planning to sleep too much. Bed was full size and the room did not have a view. On the plus side it had a gym, the bathroom was nice with a strong shower, and the beach is right across the street.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Corcovado(Christ Redemeer Statute) and Sugar Loaf Mountain are very close by and you can take a cab towards those locations between 20-40 Reals. Do not take a cab that is arranged by the hotel. Usually the doorman gets a cut of the fare so they charged you between 10-20 Reals more than a cab outside the hotel.

Not the best hotel in Copacabana
Small rooms. Not very cosy. View of a building. Hotel is very noisy.
