Relaxing resort
The hotel is located outside of Heraklion, which was a plus, because we didn’t go to Crete to be in the middle of a crowded city. We had an ocean front bungalow which was a great deal considering the price paid through Expedia. We upgraded to the all-inclusive meal plan after sampling the town’s meager offering the first night. Since the resort catered to French and Italians, breakfast, lunch and dinner selections were quite good and a nice change after our 7 previous days of all Greek cuisine in Athens and Santorini. We rented a car one day to visit Knossos (20 min away) and booked excursions the other days. The all-inclusive included snacks, unlimited drinks all day, use of a small minigolf course, children’s camp, tennis court and paddle boats.

Crete Knossos Beach
A gorgeous hotel with many amenities and a spectacular view. Not truly close to Heraklion but on a multi-night stay in Crete, well worth renting a car to stay here
