Great Weekend
My family of four booked a last minute weekend getaway. We booked the three bedroom, the pictures don’t do the hotel justice. The room was spacious and could easily sleep eight, the kitchen was fully equipped w/stainless steel full sized appliances incl. toaster microwave and coffemaker. The beds were luxurious with two master suites and balconies off both. My husband and son took advantage of the free golf at a nearby country club while my daughter and I shopped.

Skip the hotel beach for one of the nearby beautiful Destin beaches my son and I got a rash at hotel beach.

Great Experience
My husband and I went for a weekend getaway, but it turned into fleeing from Hurricane Gustav! The hotel was incredible, great views, beautiful rm, very attentive maid service. We would sit at sundown for 2 hrs sipping a drink on the spacious verandas by the pool overlooking Destin Harbor with lots of interesting boat traffic to enjoy. Would definitely go back. Emerald Grande has everything you need right there, no need to get in the car. We bought some groceries for lunches and light breakfast etc., but everything else you need is close by. A nice shuttle boat brings you across the canal to the beach, it’s very convenient and chairs are already set out for you free of charge. The boat even has a bar! We had a wonderful time.
Traveler's tip on dining
Commander’s Palace on the property is definitely worth the trip. One of the best restaurants we have ever eaten at. A little pricey with a bottle of wine, but well worth it! Waterview Grill is more casual and very cheery and fun, also great food.

We’ll be staying here next year.
This hotel was beautiful. The rooms were decorated beautifully: marble countertops, stainless steel appliances, flat screens in every bedroom, etc. The water taxi that takes you to the beach area was great, service was great, etc. This hotel was definitely worth the money, and we’ll be staying there next year as well.
