I love this hotel and Campeche
Ther people at the hotel is so lovely and kind. The hotel is beautiful with a nice mosaic floors, is a very traditional place with great rooms. If you travel to Campeche and the Mayan area, is great place to stay.

A good hotel
This hotel was a good one, clean and calm. A nice stop during our trip to Yucatan. Check different rooms before choosing as ours had no windows.

Great Campeche Hotel in Great Location
The hotel was very nice, clean, and quiet. The pool area was private and a nice getaway from the bustle of the rest of the city. We had it mostly to ourselves. The hotel had a lot of character and charm. Other than a slight language barrier with Spanish and English everything was great.

Great hotel for the price
The hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. From the doorman to unique style of the rooms, I had no complaints. Great location and I would definitely recommend the hotel for tourists.

Excellent location in most charming town
Campeche is a most charming town and the Hotel Castelmar permits you to stay in its midst, with the ancient city wall and water in immediate view. Parking is available and carefully watched by the hotel staff, wonderful restaurants and the town square are all near by. Staff has limited English but enough to guide you sufficiently and always warm and helpful.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Most sites are in the ancient city but visit the Fuerte de San Miguel, a short drive south, to see extraordinary artifacts from archeological sites including jade from Calakmul.

Classy reasonable hotel in a great location
Perfect location in the center of the city near the waterfront. The hotel is historic with a recent tasteful renovation. Rooms are large and great value for the price. Walking distance to the majority of desirable sites to visit. Friendly staff, but only a few speak much English (not a real problem at all).

very good hotel
It should be marked by four stars. Very beautiful spanish traditional design, very impressive room with classical and comfortable decoration, very distinctive and characteristic courtyard and pool. very good location, 2 minutes by walking to city walls, cathedrals, central square, and seashore. A lot of restaurants near it. very safe.

Beautiful Hotel
The Staff was very friendly,, spoke just enough English, had good recommendations for sights and restaurants. The Hotel was spotless, beautiful, colonial hotel. Lovely continental breakfast included. Evening turn down service, with fresh towels, and chocolates-- a wonderful treat. Very nice.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
The location was perfect to the central Zocolo and the walled fort city.. Fantastic yet economical.

Great hotel in the centre of historic zone. Really clean and typically Mexican. Great continental breakfast included too.
