Very Helpful Staff
What this hotel lacks in decor, it makes up for in the friendliness and helpfulness on staff. At our request, they gave us impromtu language lessons and resommended everything from restaurants to hamams to tour companies and sights to see.

Terrific choice!
It’s not fancy but it’s clean and cozy. It’s also in the most perfect location. There is a tramway station nearby, too. The staff is extremely helpful and tries to make you comfortable in every way. We have already recommended Stone Hotel to friends who will be in Istanbul this winter.

A friendly oasis
I Found this hotel extremely convenient, friendly and comfortable, for a simple little hotel. The staff speaks English and was happy to help me try some words in Turkish. The breakfast was substantial and good. The only problem was the roof top patio was closed for remodeling. I wound up going to other hotels for sunset veiwing. Hopefully the remodel will be done soon.
Traveler's tip on shopping
Don’t try to bring a lot of Turkish Delight home with you. It can become free of its packaging and create a large drift of white powder, which isn’t the thing you want coming out of your suitcase going through airport security.

Fine hotel in Istanbul
Stone Hotel was quite nice, clean, etc. Staff was very polite and helpful. Bed wasn’t the best but the room was plenty clean and had a nice view towards the sea and over some old stone walls.
Traveler's tip
The taxi driver from the airport had a very hard time finding this place in the twisted streets of the Sultanahmet, we must have spent 45 minutes asking peopl and driving around. You might want to have your taxi driver call the hotel for directions if possible.
