Nice hotel for its class
It was a very nice hotel for its class. Character with all the exposed brick. If you have trouble walking, ask for a room on the same level as the elevator. The house is a combo of several houses and where they adjoin you have to go up and down a few steps. About a 15 minute walk from the train station (through a shopping area) and 10 minutes from the waterfront and the old town. Free WiFi worked well, breakfast was soso. They were overwhelmed by the amount of people that were there and could not keep up. They gave us a nice breakfast box, because we were leaving very early on the train. If you are a very large person, there might be issues with the shower size and access to the bed. In our room there was very little room on the sides of the bed (it was in a cove). Check out your room. Safe was big enough for computer.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Gdansk is a gorgeously restored city, easy to walk around in. Amber museum was interesting (only if you can walk up a lot of narrow steps!). Artus Court recommendable. We took a boat ride to the Westerplatte (WWII interest) on a "galeon". They go all the time and it is interesting simply to appreciate the huge harbor and the shipyards. Bird watching also good out on the Westerplatte. Poland is still affordable if you have to pay in $$$.

Very nice hotel
Staff is really friendly and even that the location is not the best (3 blocks from tourist spots) it is worth to stay since it is in a quiet area and the hotel architecture has the taste of Gdansk.
