Wonderful rural setting close to Florence
My family spent four nights at this hotel. We day tripped to Florence, Pisa, Lucca, etc, all easy drives. (A car is necessary to make the most of this location.) The hotel was lovely, and the restaurant very good as well. The rooms were immaculate, and we enjoyed the beautiful Tuscan country side. There are many nearby towns, restaurants, etc. to make the area intersting. We recommend this hotel highly; it was family friendly, but also quiet and peaceful for a couples getaway.

Relaxing Hotel
This was a very relaxing hotel. There was a pool and a quiet countryside to relax in. The restaurant at the hotel was delicious. They had a great chef. The room was big, however, the bathroom was in disrepair. The owners are constantly busy keeping the guests happy and satisfied. If you go to this resort get off the train in the actual town and do not take the train all the way to sorrento. You can walk or take a cab from the train station. If you like being immersed in Italy where very few people speak English then this hotel is a fun place to stay.
Traveler's tip on dining
Excellent Restaurant Le Conchais around the corner from the hotel. Ask at the front desk. It open past midnight.

Not sure
We checked in to what was billed as a 4 star resort. It is not 4 star. The first room we were shown was very small, and the aircon did not work. We complained several times, eventually we were upgraded to a nice room. My problem was that the staff were very unfriendly, there was no apology that we did not get what we had paid for, and the upgrade was grudgingly given. The remaining days were great, we enjoyed the pool. meals were overpriced so we ate elsewhere, but the breakfast(included) was good. Dont order a cappucino, theyll charge you 3 Euros when the going rate is 1.30 Euros.

Its a beautiful area, there is a wopnderful restaurant nearby near a windmill, right on top of the hill near this hotel, unfortunately Ive forgotten the name. Its a easy train ride to Florence, so the location is good.
