Litchfield Inn
We arrived late evening on 8/26/09, had no problem finding the hotel. We were very pleasantly surprised at how nice the rooms were. Next morning took a walk on the beach, only 200 feet away from the room with very easy access. The beach is not crowded here and is very pleasant. Hotel staff was extremely friendly and accommodating and we enjoyed our stay. If I ever return to Pawleys Island I will book a room here, for sure!!

Do NOT believe the photos
Where to begin? Room #1 was bug infested, toilet ran/flushed every 1/2 hour, carpet was filthy, curtains wouldnt open and electrical outlets were busted-literally. Made complaint (was told units are individually owned and some owners do not take as good of care as others) and was moved to "upgraded" room #2. Much cleaner but coach roaches big enough to carry a small child, both queen beds were 1/2 attached to the head board, one was falling off the frame and this toilet just ran continually. Arrived on a Saturday evening, pool area was not cleaned until the following Friday. Same condom wrapper, various beer bottles and overflowing garbage cans littered the walkway to beach.
Traveler's tip on dining
Great steak at 811 Steak & Pasta and wonderful pancakes at Applewood House of Pancakes. Both located on HWY 17. DO NOT miss a visit to Brookgreen Gardens!!!

Very Old!
Our room was very small and very, very old. The cleanliness of the room left a lot to be desired. I am sure there are worse places to stay, but I am also sure there are much better as well. I will not be returning to this hotel in the future.
