Perfect hotel

The hotel is perfect, staff also.... I really recommend it. It’s not in the city center but you have a tram stop nearby.

Top Quality Hotel in Amsterdam

The Okura Hotel in Amsterdam is marketed and thought of by locals as the top hotel in the city. It is very nice, the staff is very responsive and the location is on a lovely canal with a nice walking path.

Overpriced and far away from the city centre

This is heralded as a 5-star hotel, and generally, the service levels are quite high (with the few exceptions). The hotel is located near the RAI Convention Centre, on the outskirts of Amsterdam - close to the airport, but a bit too far from the centre (tram or taxi required, but both means of transportation are readily available). I found the hotel to be overpriced for what you get (incl. the room and all meals), and not sure if would stay there again (had a conference held at the hotel, so had to stay there).
