Excellent accomodations but out of way
Newly renovated in all areas with a swank feel. Quiet comfortable rooms with balconies, A/C, and individual thermostats. Close to Calatrava architecture (10 min walk), but far from old city if walking (25 min walk). Excellent price on Expedia.

Nothing great
The hotel was "ok. We only stayed for one night to attend a family event in Valencia. Even though we know the city, it was difficult to find. It was also under construction/renovation and was kind of noisy. It met our needs, but was nothing special.

Its where the Spanish stay
This hotel is perfectly fine for a few days. Rooms are comfortable and adequate, a little faded, about five years due for a renovation. Staff struggle with English, but Sebastian (who works the check-in shift) is extremely helpful. Other staff are somewhat formal. They have an exceptionally good classic breakfast buffet (be sure to eat before 10:00 a.m.!). The other reviews tell the truth as they saw it. I saw the same things, but Im probably more flexible, or liked my bed enough. This is a good place to stay. Its not especially convenient, but it works and taxis are affordable in Valencia. Theres a good American-style mall just a few blocks from the hotel where you can get everything, including a 24-hour pharmacy. Ask at the desk.
Traveler's tip
Taxis sometimes take circuituous routes in Valencia to get from one part of the city to another. Dont be alarmed. It may seem like the driver is taking you in five different directions, even crossing the Turia, the long central park through the city, but he (or she)knows how to get where you are going with minimal impact on your fare.
