Nice people, nice restaurant, small-small room
Glad to have cab service to / from ferry, front desk people and owner VERY nice, and Annabelle restaurant very good food, but -- the entire room was about the size of my bathroom (more like you’d expect for a halfway house), paid extra to get a larger bed which got us a view of a brick wall and listening to people bickering in the alley below our window night after night, as well as the radiator clanking all night. Still, it was clean, nice plasma TV once we figured out how to work it, and right by the marina. Cookies at the front desk were great, but no other frills.

The best location in Ketchikan
We could not get the deluxe queen room we wanted until the last day. The regular queen room is extremely sub-par. Ours overlooked a dirty stairwell and another building. Those rooms should probably be eliminated. Perhaps that whole side could be converted into a Hostel. The rooms facing the water are incredible. The view is perfect. Housekeepers were grumpy, everyone else was great. Ketchikan is marvelous and this classic Hotel is right in the heart of it.
