Okay hotel
Breakfast was fine. The rooms need to be updated and the location of the hotel made it difficult to find. I would not take my family back to this hotel.

Quiet location, nice walk into Salzburg’s center
The hotel is located in a residential neighborhood, about 10 minutes from the center and another 10 minutes to the Old Town. Rooms were a decent size, although the pillow and comforter were a little bit small and thin. The room and bathroom were clean. The staff could not have been nicer; very helpful and accomodating. Top notch breakfast too! I’d recommend this hotel if you don’t need the luxuries.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Excellent value for the money. Breakfast was excellent - ran the gamut from cereal to eggs and bacon, juice, coffee and the like.

Great breakfast buffet atmosphere
This hotel has been updated but still has European style. Clean. The main problem we encountered was a problem with opening the new door to deck and one window. They were new, but started to fall off hinges. We decided not to use the deck because of this. The window problem seemed to be more related to the fact that it opened differently than American windows and a demonstration helped. The best thing about this hotel was that it was a five minute cab ride to the Eurail station and we were able to walk to the "old town" area to visit museums and shops.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
The walk to attractions such as Mozart museums was great. Try the "Dr. Miracle" wax museum. It was a surprise and unusually high-tech. It doesn’t look like much at first. It does require walking up about four flights of stairs to complete and then down. Need to be in good shape and probably not great for children under 5 yrs. or in strollers.
