well kept secret
This was my first trip to horseshoe tunica, and was amazed with the friendliness and cleanliness of the hotel and casino, we usually go to vegas,but after this trip to tunica, vegas is off the vacation list. If you have never experience southern hospitality take a trip there, the shuttle is complimentary between the hotels and casinos, and if you like jazz take a 45 minute drive to clarksville to morgan freeman "Ground Zero" jazz and blues club.
Take advantage of the complimentary shuttle between casinos and memphis is only a 20 minute drive, so be sure to walk down the historic beale street

Only one complaint
The only bad comment is that I reserved in advance a non smoking room and when I arrived at check in, they said all they had available was a smoking room. It was awful. It smelled like an ashtray and by the time I left, all my clothes smelled like smoke. Other than that the room was fabulous. The rooms had just been remodeled and they are fabulous. I would stay there again as long as the next time I got my reserved non smoking room.

Dirty filter, lots of mosquitos, no hot water
The room was beautiful but the tub is one that’s tall and hard to step over - not good for older people - and the water did not get hot. I had to take cold showers both days. Also, the filter in the wall in the tub area was absolutely filthy. There were mosquitos everywhere at the front desk and also in the casino.
