Does need a remodel
The hotel staff is extremely nice, no difficulties with checking-in or checking out. It’s within walking distance to Six Flags. However, as other reviewers have mentioned, the building is in need of a serious remodel. My friends and I only stayed for one night, and for that, it served its purpose, but if you are planning to stay longer than a weekend, I would think about staying elsewhere.

La Cucharacha
The room was filthy, there were cockroaches scurrying about, and management told us there would be no refunds. Never again!

Ugh!!!
I am surprised that Howard Johnson’s allows their branding on this hotel. The floors & furniture were not clean - there was trash under the bed from previous renters. They may have been remodeling, but it looked like they have been at it for a long time. Old furniture was piled in the parking lot. Someone cooked every night in an adjacent room and filtered into ours. Not very pleasant. Cont. breakfast consisted of stale pastries & even staler cereal. I picked this hotel for the closeness to Six Flags--I will drive a few extra miles next time.
