Clean, Quiet, very nice staff
We spent 3 nights on our last trip to Denver area. Easy access to I-70 and just a couple miles from Golden. There are plenty of restaurants within a short walk and a ton within a short drive. The pool was closed for repairs? Not sure why but it was empty. We didn’t bring suits anyway, but it’s always disappointing to go to a Holiday Inn and not have the overwhelming scent of chlorine. All in all we had a great relaxing stay. Traveled around all day and crashed out in our comfortable quite room.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
Take a few hours for one of the most fantastic and scenic drives... Take 6 west to 119 north. You can gamble in Black Hawk. Keep on 119 till Nederland then get on 72, the Peak to Peak highway. Then jump on 7 to Lyons thru an amazing canyon! Then when you get to Lyons stop at the Oskar Blues Brewery for a pint of Old Chub or Dales Pale Ale and some of the best food we had while on our trip. Best beer available anywhere. Just a quick drive down 36 to get back. Trip total about 4 hours. :)

A decent hotel, not great.
This was a decent hotel, that wasn’t horrible although I don’t think I would recommend it. Our non-smoking room smelled like smoke and there was no "fan" to control the room temp or just keep air moving. There was a thermostat that didn’t seem to work (It was on 50 degrees the entire length of our stay). However, the best of this hotel for us was that it was not in Denver, but still a short drive and was close to a lot of the other things to do around the Denver area.
