OK but not above mediocre
The best word is adequate. Hotel location is excallent but beyond that mostly ordinary. The elevator doors have a tendency to close rapidly and hard even if you getting in and should be detected by a sensor. The breakfast was ample but mediocre quality -- ordinary food that was poorly presented. Our room had shower over tub, no shower stalls. The tubs were very slick with no mats on the floor no grab bars. Both my wife and I had slips in the tub but fortunately were not injured. The desk staff with one exception did not speak very good English and there was no concierge service worth mentioning. Local calls were charged. So our rating would be fair with qualifications regarding safety (elevator doors and tub)and definitely not above 2 on a f-star scale.

Worst hotel I ever stayed at.
This hotel sucks! We get in and it was fully booked, but our room had no hot water, air conditioning and the toilet would not flush. The hotel is also not well maintained. We had a hole in the wall.

Hotel Gotico was Great
We were satisfied with the hotel. The location was/is excellent. The nearby restaurants are good. The staff was friendly and helpful.

See everything of Gaudi that you can - particularly Sagrada Familia. take the elevator up into the spire.
