Uncomfortable
The hotel is typical traditional hotel in Valparaiso. The atmosphere and the service are nice. But the construction design is bad. In front of the room, there is some tables of restaurant and you can hear all conversation, noise and childress running noise noise of a passage from morning to midnight. Actually we couldnt sleep well.

Quirky, delightful!!
This is not a typical hotel by any means, but if youre just a little adventuresome, it will give you a stay to remember. First, the hotel is the result of remodeling two adjacent 150 year-old homes on historic Cerro Concepcion in Valparaiso. As a result, there are no "cookie cutter" hotel rooms. In fact no two rooms are the same. While each room has a bath in suite, the adaptations necessary to put a bath in each room are just that - adaptations. Our bath, while beautiful and thoroughly modern and including a whirlpool, was reached via a spiral staircase to the floor below. Were both near 70 and had no trouble with the stairs, but it should perhaps be considered for some. The other side of the coin is the location, the views, and the incredible staff. The hotel is on a beautiful romantic promenade just outside the front door, and the view is what youd expect from about 800 above a beautiful harbor. Finally, its hard to say enough positive about the incredible staff. Between our pidgin Spanish and the very cooperative staff trying very hard, we met all our needs. The staff ran out of a favorite libation at one point and, without being asked, went down the street to get more. Entirely typical of the dedication to hospitality. In summary, the stay (four nights) was memorable and unique - just the way to remember an exotic coastal city.
