more negatives than positives
The motel was clean and well maintained. The beds were ancient and squeaked like a torture animal with every more. A single window a/c unit was insufficient for a studio in August. Wireless internet was nonexistant.

This is the usual fare on Marathon, but I personally will try someplace else next visit.

More than we expected
Room was spacious and clean, A/C was loud and TV was small but overall it was a great room in a great location. The manatees playing in the boat slips out back were an added bonus.

Don’t let the outside appearance fool you...
We didn’t expect the Ritz...and it wasen’t. But, we were suprised! Although not a stick of furniture matched in the entire room it was pleasently quiet, clean and comfortable. It was so nice to have our own little living room/kitchen area to come home to after a day of fun and sun. Local stores/restaurants in the area added to the home feel. The pool area was fantastic. Surrounded by palms it was very clean and warm (ok, it is Florida...) but coming from Michigan in March it was heavenly. The local airport did have a few small plane buzzing by during the afternoon but we NEVER heard them at night. Our greatest moment was being able to see the space shuttle lift off at sunset. THAT was the thrill of a life time. Overall I would and have recomended this hotel to others who are looking to visit the Keys. It’s quaint and cozy. We will go back again...can’t wait!
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
For the money it was wonderful for an older motel. Very clean and comfortable. Don’t expect fluffy pillows. But the kitchen/living room area was a welcome retreat. Pool was great!
