Nice place to land
Very friendly and helpful administrator and caretaker, peaceful spot, lovely garden, beautiful large, clean and comfortable room and great view of the volcano from our upstairs accommodation. The guest book in the room with comments from other guests was a nice touch, with some great ideas for enjoying the town. The only not-so-positive comments would be that the breakfast needs more fruit and the toast is not the most (and no butter); the bathtub can be a challenge what with no handholds (slippery getting in and out); and the price is on the high side, though to be fair Antigua itself is a bit pricey, compared to the rest of Guatemala.

Highly recommendable and affordable
A suggestion would be to let the personnel the approx. time of arrival if this is later than 7:00 p.m.. Because it is an inn, the personnel work from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. but if the guests arrive later, they have to await and there have times when the guests do not notify about delays or cancellations until it is very late. Just a consideration for the personnel.

Great hotel after you find it.
This hotel had no sign even indicating it was a hotel and even the police couldn’t find it. Get a map and try to find the street and then go to number 20. This won’t be an issue if you take the shuttle. People we often not there to assist you at the hotel. It was kept immaculately and the continental breakfast was good. Town was conveniently located but plaza was a good walk.
Traveler's tip on shopping
The local market is vast but mostly for locals. Easy to get lost but still safe. Avoid weekend stays if you are looking for peace and quiet. Dogs next door bark all day long but were quiet at night.
