All-in-one Hotel
The Ramada has a very friendly and professional staff, as well as 19 restaurants & bars for dining and night-on-the-town options inside the hotel itself. Dining options include fresh seafood, Indian, Italian, Japanese, Chinese and American. No matter what your tastes...you will find something here at a reasonable price. I have stayed here numerous times and have never had a bad meal. The hard part is deciding which restaurant to try! Additionally, on my last trip, the hotel was over-booked for the Standard room I had reserved. They immediately up-graded my room to the Deluxe with no extra charges...no complaints on my part!

Of the 4 restaurants I have tried...here is how I rate them...favorite first: 1 - Bombay Balti - Indian cuisine - try the Indian Ice Cream for desert 2 - Pier 12 - Fresh Seafood - little pricier for catch-of-the-day...but worth it. 3 - The Italian Job - Italian cuisine - next to the pool with good food and loads of character. 4 - Ruby Wu’s - Chinese cuisine - good food & reasonably priced.

Should be at least 4 stars...
Great luxery hotel / resort. Metal detectors at entry lobby. Frequented by many Westerners / expats and locals. Numerous bars / restaurants. Standard room was EXTREMENLY comfertable. There were headboard lights for reading...I requested a non-smoking room, but only smoking was available, but the room did not smell like smoke. Nice gym / pool facility. Italian Job and Cafe are excellent restaurants.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
62 hole virtual golf course available. Pool bar closes at 1800 hrs. Sherahz bar does not offer non-smoking areas. Not the most glamorous part of Doha, but not too far from City Center.

Service great!
This is an all suite hotel - each one diffeent; i.e. the James Bond suite, the Arab suite, etc. Rooms immaculate with all the right amenities and the service is top rate. The only negative, and it’s a big one for me, is that there is absolutely no bedside light of any kind. The walls are also thin. Noise from the hall is intrusive. If you are not a bedside reader and noise doesn’t bother you, than this is the place to stay. Restaurants are very nice.
