Clean but very very poor condition.
Wow! This place was really run down. They are building a new hotel in November 2011 so they are not making any improvements to this one. The place feels like you are checking into a youth hostel or something. I have to give them credit for cleanliness though. Very clean. The room isnt so bad, just extremely basic, and no AC. Windows kept shut with the help of a few different kinds of tapes. My colleague in another room had the same condition. Lights in the elevator were pulled from some cold war museum - complete with bulbs. Just a shock after the hotel was rated with three stars. No way - two stars at best, and only because it is clean. The restaurant was surprisingly good! Very reasonably priced as long as you can get the server to understand what you want. Breakfast is not so good. A few meats and cheeses and breads. Very limited, but was ok. There was a pan of eggs that were cooked into hockey puck shapes. I think they were cooked in poaching trays. They were rubber and not too edible. In front of the hotel must be some major bus stop because there was a steady crowd of locals you needed to walk through to get into the hotel. Just was a little uncomfortable having all those eyes peering on the westerner coming in every time. In short - dont stay here. Ask your hosts for a recommended place to stay. There are a few other choices, but they just are not online through the major sites. I was very disappointed with this place.
