Breakfast charges
The people and service were not bad overall. But they gave us a tokens for breakfast. What they did not tell was that each was worth 12 Euros. When we were checking out they gave a separate bill for breakfast. It was a shock. Had we known earlier, we would have eaten outside. The food was not bad. But they did not communicate clearly and we assumed that it comes with the hotel like the local transit free pass they had provided.

Hotel Connected to Freiburg Station
For international traveller flying in/out of Frankufurt, this hotel directly connected to the express train platform is super conveniet. Room was small but clean and practical. The noise from the train station may annoy you, if you are from a quiet neighborhood. Just across the street from the Freiburg’s conference center (Konzerthaus) too.
Traveler's tip
Freiburg is ecologically conscious city and don’t expect fancy shampoo and conditioners in this hotel bathroom. If you didn’t pack in shampoo or body lotion etc, you can always buy them in the small supermarket located in the train terminal.

Decent stay, nothing spectacular
The hotel has a good location, being at the train station and a short walk away from the center of Old Town. The included tram passes were extremely convient. Reception staff spoke english, which was also helpful. There was some wear and tear on the elevator buttons, but other than that the hotel was well maintained. The room was comfortable, typical European size, and the bathroom was average. I would stay there again.
