Very welcoming
Everyone was very nice and welcoming. We loved our attic room, which was quite large.

Lovely, Charming, Friendly and Clean
Staff is terrific. The Hotel is beautiful as well as clean and well maintained. This Hotel is ancient by American standards, but that adds to its charm. From its exposed ceiling beams, gorgeous hardwood floors, and winding and carpeted stairways, I was in love from the word go. In the evening, the tiny , but well stocked and well appointed bar downstairs fills with beautiful local women (friends of the owners). I felt right at home. I would highly recommend!
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Bruges is the most expensive city to visit in Western Europe. Their whole economy seems to be based on fleecing tourists. Try to eat in local, out of the way restaurants to save money. And Bruges can be seen in under two days. As lovely as the city is, it is quite compact and minuscule compared to Amsterdam or Paris.
