Will definitely come back
The decor was a little dated in the room, but the grounds were absolutely superb and the staff excellent. The grounds were so attractive that we spent little time in the room. The meals were a little pricey by Asia standards (avg. by US standards), but several excellent local restaurants are a few minutes pleasant walk from the hotel. A Circle K market is also close, where you can pick up snacks, drinks and bottled water cheaply. I can jokingly say that the only negative thing about the hotel was that my kids wanted to enjoy the more of the hotel and do less sightseeing! I wish we had scheduled to stay here longer.
Traveler's tip on dining
For good local restaurants within walking distance, turn right when you leave the hotel restaurant. the open air restaurant that is part of an art dealers, across the street from the Circle K, was our favorite. There are several others nearby that look nice too. Lakeside Restaurant at Lake Batur has an awesome view from the outside balcony. Don’t miss it.

Great People in Bali, Bad People at Corporate Office
The people of Bali Hyatt are very warm and friendly. The problem is if you have any concerns with Hyatt their corporate office does nothing for you. I am a frequent traveler and have spent over ten weeks in Bali. I do not suggest Hyatt any longer to anyone. There are numerous hotels in Bali and around the world that are better values and service than Hyatt.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
The Ubud monkey forest is very fun and the monkeys are tame if you do not carry bananas. Also if you visit Uluwatu there is an amazing view of the cliffs, ocean and sunset. Beware of the monkeys in Uluwatu, they will take your things! Bali is a wonderful place to visit!! Jukung in Jimbaran Bay is a great place for dinner on the beach for sunset as well.

Perfect spot
It has been my second visit to the Bali Hyatt and it was once again an absolute pleasure to be their guest. The service is great, the staff friendly, welcoming and helpful, food and drinks are terrific; especially the pizza in the restaurant directly at the beach. I’ll definitely return a third time next year.
