The Best of England; A Quaint Location with all the Modern Conveniences
We would highly recommend the Horwood House! I picked it online for 3 reasons; the beautiful castle look to the exterior, the fact that it was a bit out in the country to have a more relaxed feel to our vacation, and because it had breakfast included (one less meal to think about). The main building does look like a castle and attached is a fully modern conference center. We used the pool and exercise equipment, and took long walks around the grounds. The only concern I had was that this hotel had no rooms with two double beds as we are used to in the U.S.; I had wanted my adult daughter to visit from about 20 minutes away. We rented a car and drove to Milton Keynes to take the train in to London. We were also within driving distance of many other attractions; Warwick Castle, Stonehenge, Blenheim Palace. I would go back in a minute!
Traveler's tip on dining
The Horwood House includes an excellent full English breakfast HOT and cold buffet. If you are a decaf tea drinker you’ll have to purchase at a local store, as most restaurants don’t carry decaf (I was surprised since we were in the land of tea!)Each bedroom has an electric kettle.
