Italian Experience
What a wonderful hotel! If you are expecting an American hotel and amenities like one of the chains, this is not for you. We happen to love getting the Italian experience. All we want is cleanliness, location and price. Of course the room is small--we expected that. But, it was extremely clean, beds were great, location couldn’t be better. The breakfast had the basics--yogurt, granola/cereal, meat, cheese, breads, eggs, etc. Plenty for a good start for the day. Very convenient to sights, train/bus station, etc. The hotel personnel were great. We do not expect "gushing" friendliness--just professionalism and kindness. We got that. We had to laugh at the lift; it was even smaller than the one in London! But, if you didn’t want to do the stairs, the lift worked just fine. Internet was extra. No big deal. We were connected technologically by our iphone. All of the above, and a great price, too. We actually got a better price off of Expedia. We loved this hotel and would certainly go back again.
When taking the trains, take the local--a LOT cheaper. So you make a lot of stops; so what--you’re on vacation! Taking the bus is a great experience, as well. Bus drivers are more than happy to help. In fact, my friend had left her bus pass in her room and we were in Meta. We were at a loss as to where to get a ticket for the bus. The bus driver let her on, stopped at the bus station (a regular stop anyway), and WAITED until she got her ticket and got back on. Lesson learned--always take your tickets with you!

Good location
This is a nice hotel in a nice location. Make sure you say you want air conditioning. The first night they did not supply air conditioning to our room. When I asked about it the next morning they said we had to ask for it. I would stay hear again. It is not fancy, but still a good hotel.

convenient location
Good location close to town square and train station, clean room but small and very noise until midnight even with the window closed because it is right on a busy street. Breakfast is good.
