Excellent Value Near Old City
This hotel is new, clean and well serviced. It is one of the few times that the hotel rooms are larger than those in the photos. They are spacious, modern and clean. You are really just a block or two from the Old City, one of the largest in Europe. The staff is friendly and speaks excellent English.
Traveler's tip on dining
While seemingly a "tourist trap", we were recommended to Old Hansa, in the Old City, by an American living in Estonia. It is a recreation of a medevial restuarant serving only food of the period. The good is very good and service excellent. You will eat by candlelight. And, if you ask for potatoes, as a fellow diner did, your server will explain that Estonians, nor any other Europeans, ate potatoes in the Middle Ages.

Convenient and comfortable
The brand new Nordic Forum, just steps from the Viru Gates into Tallinns old town, is clean, quiet and comfortable. Bathrooms present a minor drawback, however. The sleek design means that some bathrooms have see-through walls into the bedroom (bizarre!) and no hooks to hang up clothes or towels - guests need to improvise around arms of bathroom fixtures and/or pull-out mirrors. Staff are uniformly young, pleasant and English-speaking.

Excellent Value and Highly Recommended
This is the only hotel I have ever stayed where the photos of the rooms online are not as good as the actualy rooms themselves. The rooms are better than the pictures shown! They are very large, modern, well appointed. You are a short walk from the Old City. The breakfast buffet is very good. The staff is friendly and helpful. Just a wonderful experience and highly recommended for leisure or business stay.
