This is not a 5 star hotel, but did not have a 5 star hotel price either. I have stayed at other motels in Monterey and was not too happy. This on the other hand was a very satisfying experience. None of those cheap motel odors.0 The staff was very helpful on more than one occasion. The rooms were quiet. I was very pleased with my experience here and wound not hesitate to stay again.

Great Motel For A Family
My family and I recently stayed at this motel for two days. I cannot say enough about the staff and cleanliness of the rooms. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and modern. The breakfast bar was adequate and the coffee was Seattle’s Best (a nice touch). The only drawbacks is the lack of parking ( the parking is very cramped) and the "no pets" policy. They were polite about my dog however, and allowed me to walk her in the parking lot as long as I did not take here in the room.Overall it was a pleasant experience and I would recommend this motel to anyone traveling in this area, especially a family.
I would recommend taking bikes when traveling in Monterey. Not only will you save money on parking but it’s a great way to enjoy the beautiful scenery. There is a bike/walking trail running from Seaside through Pacific Grove and you can park for free in provided parking lots along the trail. Also, there is a great little fish and chips place in Pacific Grove called Vivolo’s Chowder house (127 Central Ave). It is reatively inexpensive, family fiendly (they have paper tablecloths the kids can draw on) and the food is excellent.

Good motel for the price
The rooms were nicely accomodated and comfortable. Location was convenient to aquarium and restaurants. Two negatives were minor maintenance issues (non-working juice machine in breakfast area, running toilet) and size of breakfast area, which was far too small to seat the 10-20 people that showed up to eat.
