Reasonable value in an overpriced venue
I chose the Richmond because of competitive pricing and proximity to the MB convention center. The room was small with essentially no storage space. We smelled cigarette smoke every evening wafting up from the bar four stories below. The hotel restaurant was overpriced, but so was every other hotel dining room in SoBe! The outdoor pool and hot tub were very nice and access to the beach was ideal. This is a fine hotel for business travelers on a budget who plan not to spend much time in cramped quarters.
Only valet parking is available on site and it cost more than the daily car rental! Unless you plan to do lots of sightseeing around metro-Miami, pass on the rental car and walk the few blocks to most everything.

Location
If you are planning not staying in the hotel but using it only for sleeping and bathing it is ok. Good location, clean enough. I would highly recommend though the hotel next to it, ’’the clairmont’’. Much better in all ways.

GREAT HOTEL, WOULD DEFINITELY RETURN
Great Hotel, absolutely the friendliest staff I have ever experienced; I was greeted by every staff member I encountered. The room was clean and the bathroom was lovely.
