Surprisingly Quiet

Even though the hotel is right next to the freeway & across from a casino, I didn’t hear outside noise. The room was comfortable & the free breakfast was good.

Noisy but cheap and close to the beach

When you’re noise-resistant (to traffic) this hotel is a good option, it’s relatively cheap, clean and close to the beach. The rooms are tiny but ok. We weren’t impressed with the service, the cleaning lady just walked in once... And the pool is a joke, it’s right next to the main street. But who wants a pool when there’s a great beach so close?

Everything But the bed at this hotel was lame

This Quality Inn & Suites was not quality. First off there is no easy access to the hotel no matter which direction come from and what would be the easiest access is closed off to be a fire exit. Upon arrival I asked about some good resturants or a grocery store and the hostess knew nothing about the area, I even asked asked about the Chinese resturant next door and she snubed me with a "i’m a vegetarian" We eneded up having to change rooms because our smelled, come to find they just sprayed for bugs an hour before and we were entering with 2 babies. We reported that our shower was not draining, and after 2 days they still had not fixed it. But the beds were comfortable.

A Good place for the average traveller

A descent hotel that is very close to highway access and not to far from the beaches. There is a chinese buffet at the edge of the parking lot for quick meals that you can walk to in no time.

Good value and close to the beach

Rooms were clean and when we asked for extra blankets and towels we had very nice and prompt service. The continental breakfast was nice. The parking lot that the hotel is in was not that nice and there were lots of people smoking and a casino next door, but the staff was nice and the beach is only a couple blocks away. I would recommend this hotel to someone looking for a nice place to spend the night. Not a place I would hang out at though.

Convenient Location

We just needed a place to sleep. Comfortable bed, complimentary water bottles! Great Continental Breakfast...Yummy Thick Waffle! Really Small Pool & No Hot Tub. Couldn’t hear the traffic off the highway!

Nice overall

Except the moldy smell when you first enter the room, the room was comfortable and clean.

Minimal accomodations but clean and good location

The room was small, but clean. The hotel is close to the freeway and has easy access to Oceanside and Carlsbad. The only problem was that it is so close to the freeway that it was not a quiet night’s sleep when the room is facing south. The breakfast provided by the hotel is great - waffles, cereal, yogurt, muffins and fruit.

Perfect for what we paid for

The place looked a little run down outside but was pleasantly comfortable once in your room. Everything seemed very clean and they even let us use a dvd player for free. I would definately stay there again if I ever stayed in Oceanside.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good, they even made us waffles. Would stay here again if in the area, no complaints. Also had heated outdoor pool.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

If you like to bike, you can get free bicycles from the Oceanside Park and Rec and there is a nice long path to ride on.

Great hotel in a reasonable price

I am very satisfied with this hotel. The room is very clean and staffs are helpful and friendly. However, there is no bath tub in the room. And the room cards are easily deactivated. I need to bring my cards to be reactivated at the front desk for a few times.

Smokers Room?

Hotel location was good, though I could do without the room that smelled like smoke. I had some air sanitizer with me, which resolved this issue. Don’t know why cleaning service didn’t just do that. This is a good hotel if you just need to stay in Oceanside for one or two nights and just need somewhere to crash your head.

Check out the Longboard Cafe on Pacific Coast Highway 3 blocks from this hotel. Best breakfast in twon.

Was the topping to a already perfect holiday family vacation!!

I went with my two young children. The pool was very warmly heated even with the winter night temperatures. The rooms were clean and stocked with everything-microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, iron and board, hairy dryer, soaps, shampoo/conditioner and even lotion. I love the bag for dirty clothes/laundry. The free continental breakfast with belgium waffles, yogurt, eggs, oatmeal, toast, and muffins/pastries was awesome!! I love the work-out room and the free internet and computer use on site. This place had it all and was clean and friendly too!!! The price was under what it was worth-I am going back in January 2008.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Having a pool to tire the kids out when getting back to the hotel should be a necessary amenity.
