Not a bad place to stay and with great location!
I stayed in La Locanda di San Martino for a night and was quite pleased with the service and accommodation. By Italian standards its not bad considering what I paid for some other hotels while travelling through Italy. The room is a very good size with a reasonably comfortable bed. The mini bar was under stocked and the shower gel, and shampoo is like you get from a cheap one star motel. The service was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very average, and your better off going to the square for an espresso and panini. The biggest plus is the location, great central position everything easily reached walking. I stayed in a double room and would stay there again.

Interesting Place to Stay
Service was excellent! A very nice sized room and the bathroom was one of the best we had during our stay in Italy. Plenty of hot water was a plus. Location was very convenient to everything in old town Siena. Be warned however, if you are a light sleeper, this is not the place to stay...very noisy neighborhood.

Great location, but too expensive for what you get
The best thing about this hotel was the location--it was close to the Piazza del Campo and easy to walk just about everywhere. It was quite rustic, however, especially for the price. The bed was uncomfortable and the shower was almost unusable. I would look for another spot next time.
