What to expect: Near the entrance, a sitting area with rustic wood furnishings and a stone fireplace enhance the lobby’s Southwestern motif. Past the reception area, a wide, light-filled corridor leads to restaurants, a gift shop, and a walkway to the hotel’s seven interconnected wings. The hotel attracts airline personnel, guests who need to catch an early flight, and corporate travelers who appreciate its business services and 39,000 square feet of function space.

Amenity highlights: An outdoor splash pool with large sundeck and spa tub is open year round. Dining and refreshment options include two restaurants, an espresso café that transforms into a wine bar by evening, and a 14th-floor nightclub. Complimentary shuttle service is available to and from the airport and the nearby Southcenter Mall.

Insider tip: Angle Lake Park, one mile from the hotel, is a scenic, 10-acre haven with a year-round fishing pier, a boat launch, a concert stage, and grassy expanses ideal for strolling. Lifeguards preside over the popular swimming lake in summer, while gatherings under the rustic picnic shelters are commonplace throughout the year.

Located within 13 miles of popular Seattle-area attractions such as Pike Place Market and the Space Needle, this expansive Doubletree Hotel comprises a 14-story tower and seven interconnected wings. Wireless Internet access (surcharge) is available throughout the lobby, restaurant, and lounge areas, as well on the wide sundeck of the outdoor pool and spa tub. The hotel has 39,000 square feet of function space, including a 13,600-square-foot grand ballroom. A 14th-floor nightclub is open weekends.

Each of Doubletree Seattle Airport's 850 guestrooms has sliding glass doors that open onto small balconies. All rooms feature the Hilton Sweet Dreams bed: pillowtop mattress, triple sheeting, down comforter, and feather pillows. Desks have ergonomic chairs. High-speed Internet access is available for a surcharge.

Other furnishings include full-length mirrors, armchairs, and double-paned windows. Some bathrooms have dual vanities and curved shower curtain rods. Most bathrooms have shower/tub combinations; some have showers only. Some rooms overlook Bow Lake; others overlook the airport and surrounding suburbs.

SeaPorts Pacific Grille & Smokehouse - This seafood restaurant features Northwest specialties such as crab, clams, and Pacific halibut, as well as steaks. Sculptural glass-and-wood panels depicting underwater scenes separate the restaurant from the adjacent lounge, for an aquarium-like feel. Paintings of sea life continue the nautical theme. Dinner only.

SeaPorts Lounge - Pizza, nachos, sandwiches, drinks. Open lunchtime until early afternoon daily. Adjacent to main restaurant.

Espresso Cart & Wine Bar - Lattes and pastries by day. Intimate wine bar by night, serving Northwest wines paired with cheeses.

Coffee Garden - Casual restaurant serving American favorites. Breakfast buffet. À la carte lunch menu, plus soup-and-salad buffet. À la carte dinner menu.

Maxi’s Lounge - Popular local nightclub featuring R&B and hip-hip dance music, with dance floor. Located on 14th floor; open Friday and Saturday nights only. Drinks served at the U-shaped bar until late. Cover charge.

Ample greenery and a spacious sundeck surround the large outdoor splash pool and spa tub, which are open year round. A 24-hour fitness center contains elliptical machines, treadmills, stationary bikes, and free weights..

The 18-hole Tyee Valley Golf Course, open to the public, is one-half mile away.
