Breathtaking Managerial Incompetence
Weve stayed in Embassy Suites Hotels many times and this one was by far the worst. 1. We arrived late and our check-in was delayed because a hapless man ahead of us was being told that the hotel was overbooked, so they didnt have a room for him in spite of his confirmed reservation. 2. Since we arrived very late, there was no room service and no way at all to get any food in the hotel. There was not even a soda machine, and the one vending machine with snacks was broken. Fortunately, Dominos Pizza delivered after midnight. 3. Room Service the next night was surly and nonexistent. After they finally picked up the phone, a man said rudely, "We dont have any salmon!" When we called back a few minutes later, a woman said rudely, "We dont have any chicken!" We gave up and called Dominos Pizza again. 4. Breakfast areas in Embassy Suites hotels tend to be too small and understaffed. At breakfast there was no place to sit, no knives or forks, and over 30 people in the one line for omelettes. We gave up and went to a nearby Waffle House, where we met other refugees from this awful hotel. 5. One of the 3 elevators wasnt working. 6. The maids neglected to replace our paper cups, so we had to return to the breakfast area and wait while they found a cup we could use for tea. 7. Express checkout was fast and efficient, and we were grateful that we could escape from this hotel so quickly.
