The view is spectacular and the location is very convenient. The room was clean and the breakfast was fine.My only negative was the bed but that really didn’t matter. The staff was very kind and considerate. FYI -we did not realize that we were supposed to call when we arrived in the airport. They said that they would have carried our luggage down the steps to the hotel for us. make sure you call - the hotel was difficult to find on our own and the luggage was cumbersome.

Great value and service
First the postives...The Athina Respose Suites are located right in Fira on the cliffs. It has a spectacular view of the water. Not many hotels on the cliff has a pool. This one had a decent size one that was also clean. The location was ideal as it was just a few minute walk to the center of Fira and the nightlife. Olga, the manager, was very nice and a tremendous help in guiding us where to go. The negatives...we stayed in the studio and the room was very, very small (so small, we didn’t know how we were going to fit our two large suitcases on the floor and my husband had to duck his head to go into the doorway of the bathroom). At the same time, most hotel rooms on the cliff are going to be small so be prepared. Also, since it is on a cliff, be prepared to do a lot of stair climbing (sorry, no escalators). In the heat of July, this can be an inconveniance. But if you enjoy the extra exercise, then consider this a postive.
