Great 21st birthday

This hotel is gorgeous! Our room was phenomenal! There was a little wear and tear throughout some parts of the room. Overall it was nice. We had a view of the mountains and the entire strip from our balcony! Whenever we requested towels they arrived to our room literally less than two minutes! We ordered room service on my birthday for breakfast and the food was average...nothing special or bad about it. The walk to the casino through the skywalks took about 3-5 minutes. The playboy club was FUN! The location of the hotel is the main downfall. I stayed there because of the young hip crowd but the walk to the strip took about 20 minutes so the remainder of the trip we caught cabs ($10 before the tip), arranged for luxury transportation through the valet attendant at the hotel(Cadillac escalade suv was $50 before tip), and when our funds grew low we walked across the street to Goal Coast (maybe it was GoldenNugget) which offered a free shuttle ride to and from the strip from 10 am- 2 am every ten minutes throughout the day. I will stay at this hotel the next time I go to Vegas and I want to shoot for the 1 bedroom suite next time, better yet the infamous playboy sky villa! Amazing hotel wiith friendly staff! Highly recommend!

Try PAMPAS brazillian grill (similar to Texas de Brazil). Wonderful service and great, unlimited amounts of steak, shrimp, scallops, salad bar, chicken...the works! Wonderful Also, TAO restuarant has amazing sushi! Beautiful atmosphere and celeb hangout spot!

NEVER GOING BACK!

Hands DOWN one of the WORST hotel experiences EVER! Please keep in mind I usually stay in the The Hotel, Encore or Wynn when traveling to Vegas. Unfortunately they were all booked, so we thought we would give this place a chance. HUGE MISTAKE! When we arrived the lobby was super modern and chic, but the staff thought they were too cool for school. The people at the front desk did not acknowledge us, we stood there for several minutes confused until my husband asked if this is where we check in. When we arrived in our room it had a decent view of the palms and the strip off in the distance. When we examined our room closer it was FILTHY! The microwave had cooked on food from someone else, the sheets and comforter were STAINED, the couch throw pillows had ’clear stains’! We mentioned to the conceirege, manager and several other staff members about our microwave but it was NEVER fixed. Room service took over an hour to get when I was told 30 minutes, when it finally arrived it was freezing cold! When I complained to the night manager, Brian, he started having another conversation with a staff member over $50 bills DURING MY COMPLAINT! It was totally rude, I was in such shock I simply stopped and realized nothing was going to be done. I COULD NOT HAVE BEEN HAPPIER TO LEAVE THIS DUMP! I would NEVER spend another CENT on any Palm experience. The clubs are great, the hotels SUCK!

Very dissapointing

We usually stay at the Wynn, but wanted to change things up a bit, and chose to stay at Palms Place. We were disappointed from the get-go. The hotel is cheaply built (looks great in the pics, but not so great in person). There is a smoking bar in the lobby, which fills the place with the smell of smoke. The service was terrible (twice we called asking for something, and we were either completely ignored, or a response took forever). The rooms are not cozy. The casino is accessible through what they call the "sky tube," which has airport-style moving walkways, but still it’s a hike. The palms casino does not have good ventilation, so we came back with smoke-saturated clothing each night. Also, do NOT eat at Alize. It was terrible. The highlight of our trip was the Matt Goss show in the Palms’ Gossy Lounge, and it was truly spectacular. I highly recommend that show.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

See Matt Goss at the Palms. Only $25 per person, and fabulous. 21 and up.
