Luxury at a fair price

This is a very hip and cool hotel, located near the fashion district but is also near a great neighborhood for seafood restaurants and shopping. I was there to just kick back, order room service, hang at the bar and enjoy relaxation mode. Only drawback for me was that the room I took had a shower and not a bathtub.

Cant wait to go back

Istanbul’s W Hotel

The W Istanbul is one of the nicest W Hotels of late and located in a very nice part of Istanbul with easy access to museums, restaurants, shopping and Sultahanamet Square. The hotel is comfortable, the staff is eager to please and the bar/lounge is one of the best in town. Just note that smoking is common in Istanbul, so even though you may have a non-smoking room, your neighbors may still be smoking!

My stay at W hotel in Istanbul was excellent. My only comment is about the breakfast. They have to offer more variety and they need to improve the presentation as well.

The hotel is quite accessible, the staff friendly, and overall it was well priced. my only complaint is that they expect guests to pay 25 euros for an internet connection. other then that, by all means i would go back!

Traveler's tip for business travelers

Use the lobby for internet connection. It is free. Nero’s Cafe around the corner also has free internet.

Not impressed

This hotel is designed more like a bordello than a luxury retreat. Most rooms are dark or have no view. Everything was an extra cost from breakfast to bottled water. The whatever/ whenever branding of the W is more reminiscient of a attitude that says they don’t really care. Good location but I definately won’t be back.

This was an amazing stay the rooms were so nice and the service was exceptional. I would definitely go back.

Badly designed and overpriced. Little sunlight in the room. Room wireless access unreasonably expensive.

Excellent, but a bit over the hip top

The hotel is very good, nice spacious rooms, excellent service, good location. After a couple of days, though, the hipness got to me a bit. It took me one hour to figure out how to work the lights, TV and Bose sound system (great, BTW) in the room, and the dark disco atmosphere everywhere, all times of day, gets tiring after a while. But this might be just a problem between me and the W brand. I am probably more of a Westin kind of guy. And the prices for breakfast and drinks were outrageous, especially since Istanbul is a relatively cheap city.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Go for breakfast in one of the waterside bars five minutes from the Hotel, close to the University there.

Excellent Hotel

We were very happy with the hotel, the staff and the location of the W. The beds were so comfortable it was hard to get up! The hotel is very dark inside - rooms, lobby, elevators - bring your flashlight ;)

Traveler's tip on local attractions

There is an excellent coffee shop 1/2 blk away with outdoor seating. Check out nearby restaurants - Joke & Vogue. Watch out for taxi rip offs - ask at the front desk what to look out for.

Chic in Istanbul

A beautiful and chic hotel. At first glance it seems a bit out of the way but it’s actually just behind the Dolmabahce Palace and steps from the Beksitas ferry terminal for a quick ride to the center of town. Plush rooms with all the accoutrements made this stay a delight.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

The public ferries offer a great way to see the city from both sides (Asian and European) for a pittance. Beware of souvenir prices that are suddenly in dollars or euro instead of lira in the stores, though; you think you’re haggling and you end up paying more than you need to!

Amazing rooms and killer restaurant but pricey. Great decor. Very very trendy. Night club on site. Awesome service. Great experience.

Quality W Hotel in Istanbul

Hotel represented the good reputation of all W Hotels. Nice size room, amenities, functional gym, nice lounge and great restaurant. Although the hotel has computers to borrow either in the short or long-term, it would have been nice to have a business center where you could use a computer whenever you liked.

Hotel is in an up and coming neighborhood; however, there’s not a lot of great restaurants in walking distance for dinner and drinks.

ok,I was expected more.

the room was very good and clean.restaurant(spice market)some server do not understand English and serve me cold red wine.spa was so small and uncomfortable.concierge was very helpful.

All the personal were very nice and gave us excellent service. the rooms are very nice very contempo. we had a wonderfull stay, we recomend it 100%.

BOUTIQUE HOTEL WITH A SOUL. VERY BEAUTIFUL AND COSY BAR.

Amazing

Beautiful hotel, comfortable rooms. We received an upgrade and had a balcony. Location is great. in the city, within short walking distance to the main attractions or the tram. The service was amazing; one staff member even gave us a list of her favorite places and tips on the cabs. We will definitely be back at the W Istanbul.
