" Very Pleased"

Convenient to airport; Easy access to I-10.Close to Downtown Tucson but not "in town". Quiet; friendly staff; clean rooms; nice pool and courtyard area. I will stay again on my next visit.

Friendly Bunch

The hotel staff was extraordinarily friendly and as accommodating as they were able to be, especially the head of maintenance. The continental breakfast is good for a quick bite, but I would recommend the Waffle House just outside the hotel. Mind, there are refrigerators in the refurnished rooms, so it is easy to store food right with you.

Traveler's tip on dining

If you are used to fine dining, Tucson does not have all that much to offer. There are plenty of Mexican restaurants.

Totally Dissatisfied

The bathroom was dirty, mold on the shower walls. Window curtain was falling off the rod. Ceiling vent was hanging somewhat down from the ceiling. The room was non-smoking and reeked of smoke. Not sure if the bed linens were actually clean. Some real sketchy people hanging in the parking lot. So dissatisfied, we checked out the same day we checked in.

Disappointed

1. Hotel-Airport shuttle did not pick me up at airp[ort as they said it would. 2. Dog droppings near the walkways IN the hotel main area. 3. TV worked improperly. 4. Hotel restaurant was below average. 5. Poor working vending machines.

Traveler's tip on dining

Nearby Restaurants: McDonalds and Arbys, that’s it.

What a dump!!

The room furniture was old and stained. The exterior badly needed a coat of paint and the wood beams were visibly rotting away. The walkways and pool area looked like they hadn’t been swept in about a year, so when it rained everything was coated in mud. It wasn’t in the best part of town either. The breakfast, however, was quite good and the night front desk person was very helpful.

Don’t stay here!!!

Room smelled musty. Dead bugs in bathtub. No hot water due to a broken water heater that I was not told about at check in. Bad t.v. reception. mattress felt like cardboard. a.c. kept waking me up when it turned on and off throughout the night. Meager breakfast. No apologes when I complained and they made me pay for it!!!!

Good value in Tucson

This is a nice, comfortable hotel close to the Tucson Airport. It does have its own restaurant that specializes in ribs, steaks, chicken with a decent salad bar. It also has a small bar for evening drinks. The hotel also offers room service. There are not many choices for restaurants in the surrounding area. You would have to travel 8 to 10 miles north of the hotel to get to some upscale restaurants. The hotel does have a wonderful outdoor pool and spa in a protected courtyard. The gate leading from the courtyard to the back parking area is locked at night. The first floor rooms abutting this parking area have sliding glass doors that you need to lock in order to prevent entry. For additional security ask for a second floor, courtyard room. The staff were particularly friendly and accommodating.

Traveler's tip on dining

Ask the staff for dining recommendations. Good, upscale restaurants of varying cuisines are 8 to 10 miles away.

In the middle of no where

Whirlpools are boarded up and location not so great. Good price and get free breakfast. Close to Tucson Electric Park. Would not recommend if do not have a rental car.

Traveler's tip on nightlife

University of Arizona campus is a good time. Go to BisonWitches Deli and Bar.

Needs Work

Not a bad place for the money. Hotel is a bit on the old side and could definitly use some renovations, especially in the bathrooms. Common areas (guest laundry, courtyard, pool area) a bit on the dirty side. Desk staff were helpful and polite, maid service was OK at best. Hotel is in south Tucson, close to I-10 ramp but basically sits in the middle of nowhere, not much else in the neighborhood and it is several miles to the downtown area. Guest noise is the biggest concern, many people congregate near pool area at all hours to talk and smoke cigarettes and EVERY WORD can be heard in the rooms, sound proofing is apparently non-existant.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

We go to Arizona to hike/bird watch and our hotel is just for sleeping, not a resort destination. Even still I think next time we’ll try a differant place and see if its a little quieter than this one. Inexpensive and I know why.
