great amenities, need more people skills
Essex resort and spa has fabulous amenities, great gym, pool (indoor and out) and a wonderful spa (superlative facial and massage) and all our meals were gourmet. The only negative is that staff seems to be lacking customer service, I.E. knowlegable, pleasant and friendly. Many times we were not properly greeted, and we asked several questions ranging from how do you like this dish to how do you use the gym equiptment which were answered with I do not know. I point this out as a small glitch in what was otherwise a memorable stay.

Nice decorated room and beautiful garden
This is a nice hotel in the Burlington area. It is close to the Green Mountains. They have two nice restaurants, the food is good but it is pricey. The bonfire is worth checking out in the night.
