Great hotel
Hotel was well priced and comfortable. Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Our room was noisy; when I complained, they moved us immediately. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby.

Perfectly happy
Hotel was conveniently located just off freeway. Check in was speedy and desk personnel were friendly and welcoming. Room was extremely clean and comfortable. My stay lasted three nights and I would be happy to return to Shilo Inn Salem anytime.
Traveler's tip on nightlife
Salem isn’t a nightlife town. Most everything near the hotel seems to close around 10:00 p.m. except for national chain restaurants like Applebee’s which are open until midnight. Not much to do in Salem, I found.

Terrible experience
Bad smell, small rooms, broken AC, moved rooms 3 times in 2 nights. In the end they compensated us by giving us our money back for one of the nights. Will NEVER stay here again.
