Beds are terrible

The beds were really uncomfortable and did not give us comfortable slumber before our flight home.

Miserable, totally unhelpful staff - from check in through check out

The surliness and total lack of hospitality on the part of the staff make this hotel undesirable ... apart from the tiniest room ever. The location near Munich airport is a plus, and the hotel was clean. That’s about all. In particular, the front desk crew needs an instant replacement. No amount of training will be able to compensate for their attitude.

Great location for short stay near the airport

Courteous staff, attractive hotel, clean comfortable room and a good breakfast.

Great staff

The room is pretty much what you expect from a european hotel. The hotel location is not something to be desired but the actual property was very nice and charming even for a guy. The staff though was amazing. I had to telephone the states for work as somegthing popped up and the front desk let me use the telephone with no charge which is often not the case. If I ever needed a hotel next to the Munich airport I would definitely choose this location, no question.

The least expensive, clean and friendly hotel near Munich Airport

Try to avoid the rooms looking out to the recycling containers at the SE corner of the hotel. A resident from the appartment house across the street was recycling glass at 5:30AM every morning. The street is also quite lively at rush hour with locals using it as a short cut to the nearby research area at Garching. There is no A/C and you will propbably want to have the window open at night. Excellent access to the airport.

Traveler's tip on dining

Use a Backarei downtown Neufahrn for breakfast (less than 10EUR/3). In the center of nearby Eching, try to visit a small and cozy biergarten (opens at 5PM). Avoid banking in Eching, they are trying something new and the result is both grotesque and stressful

If all you need is a bed...

this hotel is just fine. It is not really in the city so you will have to drive a while to get anywhere. That was fine with us. The building has no air conditioning so it gets a little clammy but the hotel was still in pretty good condition and the room was satisfactory.

There is a grocery store nearby where you can get most anything.

The hotel is located on the edge of town in a nice and quiet area only 20 minutes drive from Munic.

It’s cheap and comfortable. Close to Airport. Generally, it seems good to stay to go to airport in Munich, Germany.

Would stay again

The price was great. We looked for a hotel that had 24 check-in, wake-up call, and shuttle service to the Munich airport since our flight was at 6:50am - this place has it all. Clean, affordable, friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay again.

Good airport hotel

Good hotel for a night’s stay close to Munich airport. I wouldn’t recommend it for extended vacation to Munich, since it’s not close to the city center, but if you’re looking for an inexpensive hotel near the airport to catch an early morning flight, this hotel is a good and convenient choice.

Park and fly

Used this hotel for the convenient park and fly service with a secure parking garage, shuttle to the airport, then when you fly back the shuttle service waits for you at the luggage claim exit to drive you back to the hotel. Cost was reasonable for parking and shuttle prepaid at hotel and the ride to the airport was about 15 min.

Convenient to the airport

Second time that I’ve stayed at the ACHAT - for an early flight out of Munich Airport. Hotel is located in a small town pretty far from Munich, but convenient to the airport. Not much around as far as amenities. The price is right, though.

Traveler's tip

A popular German grocery store is within walking distance, but not much else. Transportation to Munich isn’t readily available. Taxi to the airport will likely cost you 20-30 Euro (15-20 min drive).

Nice to sleep

The area has limited parking and for the hotel to charge their own guest 8 euro a night to park its ridiculous. Parking should be free for the guest. Other than that its a nice hotel to spend the night.

Once you find a parking space, try not to leave the hotel,therefore you don’t have to pay 8 euros for the hotel parking garage.

So close to airport, for low budget

The price was a real bargain. I was staying in a room for one person. It wasn’t a double bed - just single, and a small room, but I didn’t need more than that for the night before the flight. After several minutes of driving I was in the airport. I parked my car in the basement floor - very convenient. Breakfast was expensive. You might want to consider stuff in the supermarket, which is on the same street.

There wasn’t much to eat for dinner on that day, so the reception referred me to a Mexican restaurant, "Viva", in that village (there are also other restaurants).

Try another one

The hotel was OK but the staff very uncooperative, and unpleasant, internet was out of order, the day was very hot, no air conditioning nor a simple fan. Not as near the airport as I thought and without a GPS I would have never found it.

Parking is a problem, breakfast NOT included, and the staff is unfriendly. However, the rooms are fine and it’s fairly close to the airport.

Plain and Simple for one night!

Not an airport hotel but not that far. Country setting with very little parking as underground garage reserved for park and fly people. Was told to park out back...a.k.a.wheat field. The room was very comfortable and clean but no air. Tried to sleep with the windows open during the Euro Cup and Germany won that night..town folks were yelling and honking horns well into the night. Dinner was not impressive but the staff was very pleasant. Easy to find with the GPS

Don’t use the parking garage just park on the street or in the back(wheat field)for free..trust me it’s safe. Eat breakfast at the airport..believe it or not it was cheaper.

Great hotel for the money

What a nice surprise....this hotel is a great value. It’s a little bit out of the way (which is good if you are looking for quiet!) but the rooms are great and the staff is very friendly!

If you are traveling by car, try the nearby Ikea superstore....it’s a fun experience to see one in Germany!

Very Comfortable/Convenient

Stayed at the hotel to attend the European PGA Tour tournament recent. Since I had my own automobile, the hotel was very convenient to various areas around Munich including the airport, Dachau, downtown, etc. The Expedia price was and outstanding deal considering the conversion rate Euro/dollar.

Don’t use their 8 Euro/night garage or pay 14 Euro breakfast. If you have a car, there are restaurants, grocery stores nearby. Park on the street. it is very safe.

Hotel was very clean, quiety friendly staff and it was a very relaxing stay just before the flight to catch early in the morning. very near the airport but very quiet.

I stayed for a night just to catch the flight early in the morning. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was extremely clean. Very relaxing, wish I could stay there for few days and explore the area. Well next time.

Miles and miles from the Airport and no easy way to get there!

The property was clean and quaint. The staff was courteous and friendly. The room had no air conditioning. Naming it an airport hotel is a bad and unfunny joke. It is a $50.00 cab ride from the airport to the hotel, if they can find it at all. There are no restaurants nearby. It is ten blocks from anything else commercial and literally nothing but countryside past it. It is at the far end of civilization.

I would have spent few more euro at elsewhere.

Unless you have a car, it is not a good location. Too far to walk from train station- it took us 30 min. and hard to find. It is very small town - We did not see any taxi cab around the train station. They charge 8 euro per person each way to Airport (that is already 16 Euro) and assume 20 euro or so for taxi. No free coffee/tea. Breakfast is 12 or 14 euros pp. Room is nice but thin walled. Nothing special about the service. I would pay bit more to find better location with free coffee or breakfast.

Location is the key - find a hotel that is close to train station. It is better than "Free Shuttle" option since most of the time you have to wait quite long time for it. Find the Hotel with free coffee/tea at lobby or select one with coffee maker in the room. To me, those option will save money.
