Perry's Ocean-Edge Resort

Very Impressed with the resort! WIll be back!

Loved this resort! Not to mention the THREE pools, also they make yummy fresh doughnuts daily for breakfast. Rooms were clean, common areas well kept. I had a room with a full kitchen so I could prepare food for the rehearsal dinner for my son and his fiance. It was very easy to work in and made things so much easier for me. Came for the wedding weekend, but will be back for a vacation! I am sold on Perry’s!

They also have rooms that are set up for children with their own area, bunkbeds, video games and desk...kinda of a home away from home.

Was Wonderful

Our Stay was Great at Perry’s. I would go back again and recommend it to anyone. The choice of 3 pools was great as we could swim even on rainy days. My grandaughter was extatic with being at the beach and having the pools availale to swim in.

Hugely Disappointed

We were looking forward to having a nice vacation with our 2 year old and it was anything but that. Both elevators worked together for about 1 day, the overall look of the hotel is dated and just very unkempt. The rooms are in dire need of an update in the building we stayed for the price we paid. More was expected and disappointment was the overall result.

Beach Access was the Only Plus

Perry’s was nice as it was right off the beach. The rooms were nice, but nothing special. Parking at Perry’s is terrible. Very limited space and you may need to park across the street which is very inconvenient with children. Overall, I was not impressed with the hotel. One elevator out of two was broken almost our entire stay. They do serve complimentary homemade donuts, coffee, and juice which was nice until we found a long hair in the frosting of the donut. Daytona Beach is very run down any sadly many businesses and hotels are closed right off the beach. We usually stay at the Oceanwalk but it was booked. We will not likely stay at Perry’s again unless the other hotel is booked.

Not the place it was.

The hotel was ok but was not the same nice place as in the past. The price was high for what Perry’s had to offer.

the hotel is in the center of all activities we wanted to do... Kennedy Space Center - St. Augustine - Dolphin tours - airport - grocery store - dining - golf - flea market

Great Hotel!!

We stayed @ Perry’s for Bike Week, our room overlooked the indoor pool and gardens... Were amazed at how nice it was, beds were very comfortable and having the kitchen area, walk-in closet and balcony was really nice too! We’ve stayed @ other Daytona hotels and none have compared to Perry’s... Staff was very friendly and helpful... Overall, we will be back next Daytona vacation!!

We had a great family vacation.

We took our son and daughter in law and grandchildren to Perry’s for a Christmas present. They had a wonderful time. We got them a Kids Suite and the kids were totally thrilled with the bunk beds and tv in their own room. Weather was just great, we used the indoor heated pool every day.....along with the hot tub. They walked the beach every day, rented a beach dune buggy and had a fun time. winn Dixie is across the street for convenience and the IHOP across the street was really good. Fine service and good food and totally convenient....can’t wait to return again, we love the hotel, service, beach and the homemade warm donuts every morning for the guests along with their coffee. We want to make this an annual Christmas Family Vacation.

for families with children the Kids Suite is great and allows for families to have room to move around without being jammed together. All rooms are larger than most and come equipped with kitchenettes with stoves, fridges, sink, microwave, dishes, glassware, silverware, pots and pans, hairdryers in the bathrooms, iron and ironing boards in rooms, tables and chairs in each room...kid suite also has a couch pull out etc... totally equipped for a great stay.

Ok for someplace cheap

Place was a bit outdated and rough around the edges. Hallways were dirty, room was okay. Sheets had small tears, room smelled of must/mold. Poor ventilation in room. Shower curtain was a bit moldy. Got a good price, but will stay somewhere a little nicer next time. View of ocean was nice, indoor pool was great. Kitchen was stocked and dishes in kitchen were clean.

An ok place to stay if you need to save money. View of ocean was great, but hotel overall is a little run down/tired.

Nice Hotel

I was in Daytona Beach during September, and it was quite empty. That was fine, but it seemed to lack any liveliness. The buildings have very little imaginative architecture, the restaurants are for the most part ordinary. Can’t imagine what the attraction is. My biggest dissapointment was the ocean. The water is dirty. It’s a brown color, and has a detergent-like foam on the surface. Sad; very sad. I looked at the more upscale hotels, but they had no charm. I stayed at Perry’s, and was very satisfied. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and all overlook the ocean. If I have to visit Daytona Beach again, I will stay at Perry’s. It’s good value for the money.

Can’t wait to go back!

I highly recommend this hotel. Everything was very clean and the room was oversized and very comfortable.

Home away from home

Great family place to stay. The indoor pool is awesome especially when you have children and it rains!!! THey also have lots of activities for the kids. Don’t recommend the tiki bills restaurant was overpriced and not good. Overall a great place to stay

Traveler's tip on dining

We like Inlet Harbour, Crabby Joes, and Boondocks. But if you like Italian it is in Ormond Beach only about 20 mins but Mario’s is the best Italian I have ever had and we live in ATL with lots of good Italian. Marios is a must!!!

Can’t wait to go back!

I enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was very clean. I am waiting for the next time I can get off to go again. All the pools, and rooms were clean. The staff were very polite and helpful.

Looking forward to go back again

The hotel was very nice - clean, comfortable, etc. The location is great - right on the beach & convenient to everything on the strip. IHOP is right across the street & a new resturant (I believe that Perry’s owns it too) is next door. I have only one negative about our stay. The parking is a premium. They have extra parking across the street, but one night it was filled, the onsite parking was filled & we ended up leaving our car parked in the IHOP parking lot. Wasn’t happy about that, but otherwise we had a wonderful stay & vacation. We are planning to stay there again next year.

Old and Smelly

This property is overpriced and old. The room we had had an odd smell. The hotel was very overused and tired. Poor parking, Low class area surrounding hotel. Daytona is is generally a decrepit area and this hotel was in it’s class as a low value accomodation.
