Hotel is alright, staff not so great
I intentionally chose this hotel because it was close to the Portland Exposition Center during the April automotive swap meet. The hotel rooms were fine but the service was lacking. TV would not play movies in either room we paid for and there were no folding beds available. Staff had no explanation and made no attempt to make things right. The staff at this hotel may have been recently hired with no idea or care what the words "customer service" mean. The rooms are small but comfortable with a modern feeling. If you don’t require any customer service this is not a bad place to stay.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Hotel is within walking distance of food / attractions such as the Portland Expo / Raceway. A mediocre breakfast buffet is served at one of two hotels right next to this one. The shuttle van service is pretty good although I found that several people were parking at a private pay lot near the hotel and using the hotels shuttle to get to the weekend event acting like rabid dogs clawing at each other. Hotel customer service is non existent.
