Nova Platinum Hotel

Disappointment, you get what you pay for, a nice looking hotel with a bunch of problems

Stayed 1 night in 6th floor in the "new building". Everything seemed fine on checkin, hotel is pretty new, has a very nice pool area, room is new looking and our non-smoking room smelled smoke-free. Only trouble is location is pretty tough to find, our taxi driver from Bangkok did not know where it was and the map from the hotel website was not too helpful. Luckily as we were stopped at the side of the road trying to figure it out, one of those motorcyle touts looking for taxis for return trips to Bangkok stopped and led us to the hotel. After coming back late in the evening, the trouble started. First our room key did not work again and had to get it reprogrammed for the SECOND time. Second, the one elevator is malfunctioning and cannot close the door for like 5 tries every floor. Finally, the hotel or at least our room has SERIOUS water pressure problems. The shower only trickled out a little water, the sink is OK though. Asked the staff and they claim the entire hotel is out of water and refuse to move us. I think they just don’t want to deal with the problem.. Not to mention there were a bunch of sex tourists waiting in the lobby and taking turns going up to their room one-by-one. Wireles internet did not work in the room, had to go to the lobby. So overall, price is good, but you get what you pay for, a nice looking hotel with a bunch of problems.

Overall good location to everything you might want to do. I would go back and stay again at this hotel.

I only stayed one night because I had other arrangements, but I will for sure go back and stay there again, very close to all the action. Nice pool, clean rooms!

Water Damaged

The hotel is in a good location, and the staff was great. My problems were with my room which was comfortable but it had a serious odor and water marks on the ceiling. Which started to run water when they turned on the sprinkler system outside the window, (Stay away from room 301). The travel service in the lobby sucked because they would not offer me any tours that I can go on by myself. The gym can be bigger but the pool area is ideal for its location. Overall the hotel is not bad, just has a few things that can be worked on to make it ideal.

The hotel has nice food but if you like flavor to your foods, get out and eat at the local dinners.

Good value for Pattaya

Nova Platinum is a great little hotel close enough to the action of Pattaya but far enough away to be relatively quiet. Beautiful pool and great modern rooms. Service and hotel employees were just great. They really seem to care about the guests. Only downside is that the hallways are starting to look a little shabby with stains on the carpeting. Just a little work would go such a long way. Overall a great little hotel and a good value. I plan to stay there again on my next trip.

Will stay again

Staff was grate and spoke good English. Guest friendly and close to walking street if you like the nightlife. Room was good value for the price but food and drinks at the hotel was expensive.

Nice pool used for attraction but building can collapse anytime. After a very hard day I had , I returned to my room and I discovered that there was water all over in my room due to the heavy rain,my camera ,my cell phone and all my documents where damage.Yes.. it was raining in my room ..6th floor....if you decide to stay there do it at your own risk.A lady manager(worst I ever meet in my life)was running away after it happened. Worst experience I have had in my life

location and that’s about it

from the minute we walked in, the staff didn’t even recognize us. where do we go? who do we talk to? what do we do with our luggage. finally we were helped and taken to the room. it was clean. after a long night of drinking, we go to the room and want to take a shower. cold. the staff took 10 min to show up, said they would get tools and never came back. the next morning, early morning mind you because you can hear everything that goes on in the hotel through the thin walls, we were able to take a slightly warm shower. overall this is a good hotel if you’re looking to be close to the action but don’t expect much sleep or service.
