How could so many reviews be so wrong?
Tokoriki was the second stay of our honeymoon. We arrived, after a rather taxing charter, from a magnificent resort in the Yasawas. We fully expected Tokoriki to overtop the experience we had had at our previous stay based on all the other reviews. Alas, this was not to be. The gentleman who greeted and registered us gave us what felt more like an interrogation than an introduction. We were promptly placed in room #1, which was situated next to what must have been their sewage processing unit, their workshed and their staff’s favorite access path. It was often noisy, loud, smelly and unpleasant. The food was at its best mediocre. At its worst it was disgusting. The breakfast croissants were worse than Pillsbury crescent rolls. My wife is a vegetarian, and on at least one occasion there was nothing she could eat on the lunch menu and they refused to even make a simple grilled cheese and tomato sandwich for her (admittedly off-menu, but this place aspires to be 5-star!) At one point we endeavored to borrow a book and a game from their "activities bure", and a staff member rudely implied that if we were leaving that day we shouldn’t take anything. (We had 2 days left on our stay.) The only saving grace: The beautiful coral reef which is truly magnificent and worth seeing. If all you care about is water sports, then maybe Tokoriki is worth visiting. But if you want a relaxing vacation in paradise, look elsewhere.

The staff were amazing, very friendy and catered to any requests we had. Meals were great - seafood was wonderful, the meat was overcooked to my liking but in general the food was great with enough options. The guests at the hotel seemed to be honeymooners or couples. The hotel has about 30 bures - the majority are beach front, other than in the restuarant we felt like we were alone on the island it was amazing. We went on 4 or 5 of the tour activities from the island and there were only 1 or 2 other couples on the tours, therefore the staff were very attentive. The best thing we loved about this location was the snorkelling. You can snorkel right from the beach and see an amazing number of tropical fish. The water temperature and visablity was wonderful. The rooms were great - very private, they have an outdoor (and an indoor) shower, air conditioning, right on the beach, great view and access to the beach. I would definately recommend and return to this hotel.
