reasonably priced
Good deal located well within walking distance of central Reykjavik. I did not have a bathroom in my room, but there was no wait for the shared facility. The breakfast (included) was also decent.

Fun hotel in Reykjaviks city center
A fun hotel near Reykjaviks city center! We stayed in one of the apartments at the beginning and at the end of our stay, which was really nice. We liked it so much we arranged to come back at the end of our stay, too! What made us come back to the 4th Floor Hotel is the service--the staff were really friendly and helpful in arranging things like buses & shuttles when we needed them, making sure we were pleased with the room, etc. Next time I go back to Reykjavik, I will definitely stay here! The apartment features a balcony (kind of a rarity in hotel rooms in Iceland, it seems), kitchenette complete with oven, range, refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave; washer/dryer in the bathroom [the W/D controls are labeled in Polish (!), but we figured it out], and best of all--the bed is situated in a little alcove, far away from the sliding glass doors of the balcony--which gave respite from the sometimes hellish 22-hour sunlight in Icelands summers. The room is standard IKEA decor, which this American likes just fine. Like many places in Iceland, there are gorgeously fluffy down duvets on the bed (yeah!), makes one want to lounge there forever. There are also nice, full-length draperies over the entire length of the sliding glass doors, which definitely blocks a lot more light than many Icelandic rooms Ive seen.
Traveler's tip on nightlife
Dillon is a great place for a quiet pint--free WiFi, as well.

Keep Your Receipts
This is a nice hotel. They upgraded my room for a small fee which I thought was reasonable. I paid in cash but a month and a half later they are tying to run my credit card for the upgrade! Also, they stated the Flybus does not pick up from thier hotel and you would have to schedule a few days in advance. After speaking with the Flybus representative this was not the case, so wasted money on a taxi to the bus station.
Traveler's tip
Keep your receipt and book flybus pickup in advance.
