So much more than expected
Our experience at Candlewood Suites in Destin, Fl was so much more than we expected for the price we paid, that we extended our stay for two additional days. Everything was very clean and the staff extremely friendly.
You will want a car to get around the area.

Not as adverstised
I was not impressed with this hotel. First, I didn’t get the room that I thought I was booking according to the website. The pictures showed a separate beedroom with a large desk and advertised as a queen suit. Moreover, the toilet was not clean and had a foot long hair with toilet paper in it. Secondly, when I asked the front desk person where were some good places where to eat and what to do, her response there was no diversity and the area was too family oriented and the cops were prejudice. I live in a city of diversity with violence and crime and wanted to get away from diversity for a few days where I can feel safe and relax on vacation.

Beyond Expectations
All hotel services were excellant. Staff was extremely helpful, as if they were our friends. The pool was on the eastside of the hotel and it seemed to cool down about 3PM. But the poolside BBQ was great. If I would go anywhere else it would be hard to beat this hotel. Two thumbs UP! Would highly recommend!

Try any of the water front dining. Great seafood, with a casual and laidback atomsphere.
