Well go back
Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable bed, microwave, refrigerator that was actually cold, large TV, free high speed internet, adequate continental breakfast....love the balconies over the river!! Location feels fairly secluded for downtown Gatlinburg, but is close enough to several restaurants and shopping areas so that we rarely needed the car. We had a king spa room with fireplace and whirlpool tub. The tub was the only somewhat disappointing feature....not very much "whirlpool" action. We are looking forward to our next chance to get away, and would be happy back in this hotel.

Location...
We were primarily in town to do some hiking and then wander around the "tourist area" at night. This property was very convenient for both. We were right by the entrance to the park, and a block away from all of the tourist area. The rooms were nice, though I am still not sure how I feel about the spa tubs in the main room, but that is something fairly common in Gatlinburg.
Traveler's tip on dining
Cherokee Grill, only a block or two away on the main drag, had surprisingly good steaks if a meager wine list. Log Cabin Pancake House had the best pancakes we have had, but you will probably want to drive the 5 minutes to get there.
