Good in a pinch
This hotel is good in a pinch, but not for long term stay. It’s pretty noisy being off a main street and the non-smoking rooms still smelled like stale smoke. The bathroom was adequate, but the shower had some missing parts on the dial. It works if you need a quick place to stay for a night, but we ended up going somewhere else for the rest of our stay in the area.

Hamden Days Inn
My girlfriend and I stayed here because it was incredibly close to Quinnipiac Law, and because it was cheap. Needless to say... we got what we paid for. Here’s the breakdown: We arrived at 2:00 am, which was not a problem for the hotel staff (a plus). They were understanding when we requested another night because of the weather... although it was $15 more for the 2nd night (neutral). The room was ~50 degrees (March), and the only heater was a wall mount that was incredibly loud (minus). The beds were moderately comfortable, but fairly old and broken in (neutral). The staff was incredibly helpful in printing out directions, pointing out places to eat, and providing forgotten amenities (plus).

Clean and comfortable no frills
The room was large clean and comfortable. Aside from being a little out dated the room was fine. My second floor room was very large with a nice. view. The only complaints that I had was that the hall lighting was broken and our room was at the far end of the hall near an exit a bit scary at night. Also the hallway carpet smelled it could have used a good shampooing and deoderizing. I needed a comfortable, clean place to sleep for a couple of nights and it served that purpose well.
