Not Impressed
Upon checkin to the room, not luggage stands to place bags on. Called the frt dsk, no luggage stands for four days, We were on the 8th floor. The roof leaked the 3rd night onto our king size bed @11:00pm. They gave us a new room on the 7th floor with two standard beds. No help from the hotel in moving things from one room to the next. 7 trips from the 8th to the7th floor and back again. We are seniors. The food ordered from the kitchen to our rooms for breakfast was always missing something we ordered. This happened all four days. We called down to the kitchen and they seemed oblivious. We asked for bananas with our breakfast and a melon dish daily. (Continentle breakfast). One meal I asked for eggs over easy with sausage. When delivered the eggs were cold and bacon was the meat choice. Michael the person that delivered the breakfast daily was neat, very cordial and always on time with a cheerful greeting and asked how we were doing? He was very, very nice. Mo, the bartender was just great. He was very courteous, cheerful, & knowledgeable when asked questions about Washington,DC and the area close to the hotel. I give both Michael and Mo a 5 STAR rating. Just plain nice people. Also newspapers should be delivered and placed outside the door daily.
The National Cathedral a Must. The Vietnam Wall Memorial and Arlington Cemetary. The Unknown Soldiers Tomb. The Marine Corps Museum outside Quantico and a ride on the Metro.
