We called it home.
We loved opening the windows and seeing the lovely flower boxes and street below. We would call it home. The book store, the crepe vendor, and our metro station all became part of our neighborhood. Just a few blocks away was Notre Dame, what more could you want. We would love to return and again be part of a wonderful Paris experience. Au revoir for now.
Traveler's tip on nightlife
You should not miss this unusual coctail lounge, just afew blocks from the hotel. Rated a 5 star nightclub this dark and seductive place had music, dancing and atmosphere that would take you back to the speakeasy world of yesterday. Known only to the locals, ask about the Curio Parlor on Rue Des Bernardins.

clean, good location
If you are looking for fancy this is not it. But the room was clean, had a large safe, and was in a great location yet off the busy street so was relatively quiet. We were on the 5th floor which meant using the elevator. Even though the hotel was not busy the elevator took forever---I would wonder what it would be like during the height of tourist season. We did have a problem with a hairdryer that would not shut off. When we called the front desk he said it would have to wait until the next day as he had no one to fix it. We managed a creative way to turn it off but the incident left me wondering what they would do if there was a repair that had to be taken care of immediately. Also, most places Ive stayed in Europe had CNN World which this hotel did not. When we arrived the wireless internet had not been working for 5 days. They did repair it during our stay.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
I had been to Paris 3 times previously. I would highly recommend the Latin Quarter as the area to stay. There are many bistros, small food stores, street markets, and other attractions. Other times when I had stayed in other parts of Paris there wasnt enough street traffic at night to make me feel comfortable walking at night even with a companion. The Latin Quarter had sidewalk traffic until at least midnight.

Superb Location
A comfortable, inexpensive hotel in a wonderful location. We were able to walk to Notre Dame, the Pantheon, the mosque and tea room, etc, and were very close to the Cardinal metro stop. The room was simple but clean, we did not have any problem with noise, we did not eat the breakfast but instead made tea in our room, used the fridge, and bought groceries in the little market down the street. A great French experience for us.
